L is for Library Love

He he... a double L post! Go me!
My favorite branch of the local library
I love going to the library. Over the last few months, it's become my habit to go every Saturday morning. I usually make it to the library at least one other day during the week. As soon as I walk into the library I just feel so warm and happy inside. Okay, that was super cheesy, but also true.

Right now I have 13 books checked out:
* 4 YA/MG hardback novels
* 1 middle grades nonfiction book
* 1 YA graphic novel
* 1 middle grades graphic novel for a student
* 1 hardback novel for a student
* 1 adult hardback novel
* 1 audiobook (CD)
* 2 digital audiobooks
* 1 YA ebook

At work I am constantly touting the benefits of using the public library, trying to get my students to check it out. In the 21st century libraries have some pretty cool services:
* Get a book shipped to your library from across the state FOR FREE
Search the catalog, put books on hold, and renew books online
* Download ebooks and audiobooks FOR FREE

This year I am also completing in the I Love Library Books Challenge hosted by the Book Dragon's Lair. My goal is to read at least 50 library books.

This post is part of the A to Z Challenge.

  1. Lots of Library posts for the A-Z Challenge today--including mine! It's fun to read everyone's take on this topic.
    I'm a big library fan--I'm usually there once a week. This past week I got there on Saturday morning just as the toddler story time was finishing up--it was so cute to see the FLOOD of little kids running out of the story time room and racing to the kids section to find their books!

    1. That's awesome! I never make it in time to see that amazing youthful enthusiasm in the library. Maybe I should plan to sometime.

  2. Yay libraries. They are awesome. I checked out two of the books I hope to review this month from one.
