    1. Somehow I've only read Tiger Rising and Edward Tulane! I'm way behind on the Kate DiCamillo thing! My students are incredulous at my lack of knowledge.

  2. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll ...one of my FAVORITES. There's so much more to it than might seem on the surface. Man, I love it! Hope you get to it and I hope it tips you over from the "neutral" meter. :)

    1. I'm planning to read The Looking Glass Wars by Frank Beddor and it's a parody of Alice. I will need to read the original first, so even if we don't get that number, I'll be reading Alice soon =)

  3. The View from Saturday is one of my favorite Newbery winners. I remember liking My Father's Dragon when I read it out loud to my kids. If nothing else, it's very short!

    1. Shelley - I've had The View from Saturday for years, but I can never bring myself to pick it up. Maybe this Spin is just what I need!

  4. I love your list! I wish I added more children's books to my list. Tuck Everlasting is one of my favorite books to reread. I hope whichever book you end up with, you enjoy. Good luck! :-)
